Multon Salt & Verizon
Here are several design cases where I applied my illustration skills to enhance UI and brand design, creating a more personalized and cohesive visual system. By integrating custom illustrations, I was able to add unique, on-brand elements that resonate with the target audience, ensuring a more immersive and tailored user experience. These designs not only reflect the core values of the brand but also maintain consistency across different platforms, helping to establish a strong and recognizable visual identity.

Recognition Program Communication
Morton Salt, Inc. has launched an exciting company-wide initiative to strengthen its culture, with a vision to foster greater collaboration. The new company values will be introduced across the organization through a newly established employee recognition program.
I worked closely with Morton’s communications and HR teams to design an approach for incorporating the six new company values into the program's communication strategy.
Company Values
Morton Salt refreshed its company values, expanding their meaning to include six specific, achievable behaviors for each value. The updated tone is more human, approachable, and inspiring, making the values not only meaningful but also actionable for employees at all levels.

Step 1: Moodboard
The design was built entirely from scratch, with no existing design guidelines to reference. To establish the visual direction, I created a comprehensive mood board exploring a wide range of potential styles. This included everything from the creative and dynamic use of photo icons, to the complexity of illustrations, and even the simplicity of line drawings. By experimenting with various design elements, I was able to explore multiple aesthetics and visual approaches, ensuring the final design would resonate with the intended user experience while also maintaining flexibility and creativity.
Step 2: Exploration
Step 3: Expansion
The client chose the "Morton Umbrella" concept as the direction for the design. Building on this concept, I explored various color combinations to find the most visually appealing and effective palette. Additionally, I experimented with different umbrella angles to ensure the design conveyed the right tone and dynamic feel, while maintaining a consistent brand identity. Each iteration was carefully considered to balance both aesthetic appeal and functionality, ultimately selecting the most impactful design direction.

During the initial experimentation, the client expressed a strong preference for the cleanliness and legibility of illustrated icons. Based on this feedback, I proceeded to develop a set of icons, exploring different variations to enhance visual interest. This included incorporating a "folding" effect, adding subtle shadows, and experimenting with gradient backgrounds to give the icons depth and a more dynamic feel. Each variation was carefully crafted to maintain clarity and readability while introducing nuanced design elements that aligned with the overall aesthetic direction.

Step 4: Simplify
To best achieve the goal of simplicity, I also created a version using text only. I enclosed the text within a pentagon, a highly abstract shape representing the "umbrella." Each corner of the pentagon symbolizes one of the core values, and when combined, they form a star-like configuration. This design approach was intended to convey unity and structure, while still maintaining a minimalist and clean aesthetic that aligns with the overall vision of the project.

Here’s an optimized and expanded version of your text: For the illustrated version, I took a minimalist approach by simplifying the design into line art. I experimented with various metaphors and combinations, exploring different ways to visually represent the core concept. This allowed me to refine the design, ensuring it remained both expressive and straightforward, while capturing the essence of the "umbrella" concept in a more abstract and modern form.

Step 5: Final Designs
Below are the final design of 5 values’ icon, and all together formed a one. Clients are very satsfied with this results, later turn them into corporate gifts and facility walls.

Verizon
Below are the illustrations and samples I created for Verizon's annual report website and print book. These visuals aim to depict modern life powered by new energy technologies and enhanced by smart working environments. Through these designs, I sought to highlight the seamless integration of cutting-edge technology into everyday life, emphasizing both the innovation and sustainability driving the future of work and energy. The illustrations capture a balance between progress and practicality, showcasing how these advancements are transforming the way we live, work, and interact with our surroundings.
